JoJo Siwa Hits Candace Cameron Bure Again, Says She Didn’t Share ‘All The Details’

“Dance Moms” alum and singer JoJo Siwa last week suggested actress Candace Cameron Bure was not completely transparent about the conversation the two had after Siwa named Bure the “rudest” celebrity.

Siwa, a 19-year-old who’s been dubbed a “gay icon,” flashed a snap of Bure as text read, “Rudest celebrity I’ve met,” in a viral TikTok video posted on July 24, and still remains up.

“We did speak on the phone. She shared that in her [Instagram video],” Siwa told Page Six, referring to a response Instagram video Bure made last week.

“She didn’t share all the details, but it was one of those memories that little 11-year-old me was just stuck with,” she continued. “It was at the afterparty that she didn’t wanna take a picture with me, and I was okay with that. But then I turned around, and when I looked back, she was taking pictures with other kids.”

Siwa suggested it was one of those moments that you’ll “never forget it as long as you live.”

“When you’re little and somebody says something to you, and you just never forget it as long as you live — I think we’ve all had that moment — and I feel like this was that moment for me,” she told Page Six.

“We had about a 10-minute conversation, and it was sweet,” Siwa added. “She apologized, and we talked. It was cool. It was nice.”

Bure shared last week that she called Siwa after the viral TikTok post.

“Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday, and I had no idea where it came from,” Bure told her followers. “I immediately tried to reach out to her through a mutual friend … because I didn’t know what happened — I didn’t know.”

Siwa told Bure the whole thing was “silly,” and she “felt bad” that it blew up, and then finally disclosed what she was upset about.

“I met you at the ‘Fuller House’ premiere when I was 11 years old,” Siwa said, according to Bure. When the singer asked the actress for a photo on the red carpet, Siwa said Bure told her, “not right now,” and then went back to the madness of the red carpet.

“Oh, JoJo,” Bure reacted. “I’m so sorry.”

“You weren’t even mean,” Siwa told Bure, the actress said, adding, “I get it now as an adult … but at that time, I was 11.”

“I feel crummy. JoJo, I’m so sorry,” Bure told Siwa. “As a mom, it breaks my heart that I made you feel that way.”

“I think the lesson we can learn … is that even a ten-second trending TikTok video can do damage, because our words matter, and our actions matter,” Bure told her followers, encouraging people “to be mindful of what we do post, even if it’s meant to be fun and innocent at the time.”

To anyone who’s “personally run into me, and I was not the person you were hoping for or expecting, I just want to say I’m sorry,” Bure added.

The actress said it’s her “joy” to speak to her fans but added that she’s “still a human being” who can be stressed or “have a bad day” like anyone else.

“I just hope that we could all have grace for one another,” she closed the video.

Notably, Bure’s daughter, Natasha, slammed Siwa, telling her to “grow up” and that the moment between the singer and Bure was not a “rough experience.”

Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter Natasha Bure slams JoJo Siwa:

“Someone saying ‘no’ to taking a photo with you is not a ‘rough experience.’ This generation is so sensitive and has no backbone. There are bigger issues in this world than this. Grow up.”
