Keanu Reeves responded to a fan’s marriage proposal at a recent film festival in Austin and teased the kind of action fans can expect to see in “John Wick: Chapter 4.”
Appearing on stage with director Chad Stahelski at the SXSW film festival in Texas, Reeves revealed that he had kept his character’s watch and wedding ring from the shoot.
At that point, a fan in the audience shouted, “I’ll marry you!” Variety reported. The actor replied, “Yeah, be careful what you wish for.”
Reeves has most recently been linked with visual artist Alexandra Grant. The couple met in 2009 and finally went public with their relationship in 2019.
At the festival, Reeves also talked about the intense training he went through for his role in the highly anticipated “John Wick” franchise sequel.
“It’s been about 12 weeks of training,” the actor said.
Inside the new issue, Keanu Reeves and the filmmaking team talk about going bigger than ever with the action “by a good margin”.

“It’s new levels of action,” he added. “You know, nun-chucks, which was challenging. … ‘John Wick’ action asks just a little bit more. And you see the effort and the commitment from the team.”
During this week’s premiere of the film in New York City, the “Constantine” actor explained more about the stunts he performs in the upcoming movie, People magazine reported.
“I love the challenges of John Wick, it’s super intense,” Reeves said. “It’s playful. I get to do different things — driving, you know? [I get to use] nunchucks and do movie Judo, movie jujitsu. So I really enjoy that.”
In a recent interview with Total Film magazine, Reeves noted that the fourth installment of the franchise “took car-driving to the next level.”
“There’s 180s, forward-into-reverse 180s, reverse into-forward 270s, drifting. … So it was really fun to get a chance to learn those skills, and to play,” he added.
“‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ has the most action of any of the [‘John Wick’] films, which is saying a lot,” Reeves continued. “And it’s more by a good margin. It’s a big show … ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ was the hardest physical role I’ve ever had in my career so far. They really trained me up to be able to have what we call the toolbox.”
