Piers Morgan Locked Out After Hacker Takes Over His Twitter, Posts Private Messages And Racial Slurs

British television host Piers Morgan became the apparent victim of hackers on Monday, when his personal Twitter account suddenly began spewing racial slurs and insulting people like singer Ed Sheehan and the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The hackers removed Morgan’s profile photo and changed the way his name appeared several times — making it read “lol” for a time — and someone shared a “selfie” from Somalia. One tweet falsely claimed that world champion kickboxer Andrew Tate had been shot to death in Dubai, prompting several responses from Tate himself.

“Hard to kill,” Tate replied to the initial tweet.

He followed that with a message he claimed to have received from his mother, tweeting, “Mum: ‘Hi Andrew Piers Morgan said you were shot dead. Hope you’re ok? Love you.’”

Other tweets attacked the late Queen of England, which was certainly out of character for Morgan, before the account disappeared entirely for some web users. The mobile app still shows a number of racially and sexually explicit comments under Morgan’s account.

The “Piers Morgan Uncensored” host then used his official show Twitter account to draw attention to the problem, tagging Twitter’s new owner and CEO Elon Musk and asking whether it would be possible to regain control of his account — and his 8.3 million followers.

“In case you’re wondering, @piersmorgan has been hacked,” @PiersUncensored tweeted. “Any chance of getting him back, @elonmusk?”

Morgan has made a number of headlines in recent months, in part because he very publicly sided with the Royal Family and has been very critical of Meghan Markle — particularly since she and her husband, royal ex-pat Prince Harry began their media tour accusing the royals of bullying and racist behavior.

Following the now-infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, Morgan delivered an angry column via The Daily Mail and lashed out on “Good Morning Britain” as well.

“I could see the way it is already playing in America and around the world. This is a caricature, a portrait of our monarchy and Royal Family which I think is contemptible. … Okay. Let’s have the names. Who did she go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry; I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me the weather report,” he said.
