‘Shoot. Me. Now.’ Obama Mocked Biden’s Rambling, Joked About Being Murdered, Book Says

A new book contends that former President Barack Obama’s contempt for Joe Biden went so far he joked about someone murdering him rather than listen to Biden speak ad infinitum.

The revelation comes courtesy of The Long Alliance: The Imperfect Union of Joe Biden and Barack Obama, authored by New York magazine national correspondent Gabriel Debenedetti, which details the moment Obama reacted to Biden’s discourse during George W. Bush’s confirmation hearings for secretary of state nominee Condoleezza Rice.

Debenedetti wrote that Obama handed a note to a staffer that read, “Shoot. Me. Now.”

“Joe Biden is a decent guy, but man, that guy can just talk and talk. It’s an incredible thing to see,” Obama reportedly told his adviser David Axelrod, the Daily Mail reported in an exclusive report.

In 2007, Biden told the New York Observer that Obama was the “first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy.”

During Obama’s presidential campaign, Biden allegedly told an aide: “I’m not going to grovel to this guy. My manhood is not negotiable.”

Meanwhile, Obama was mocking Biden in a TV interview, jibing, “I don’t remember what Joe was referring to – not surprisingly.”

“You know Joe, it’d be fun to let you be president for just five minutes to see how you’d handle it,” Obama reportedly told his vice-president.

In 2012, Obama planned to announce he supported gay marriage and informed Biden, but Biden preempted him in a TV interview, prompting “disbelieving fury” among Obama’s aides, some of whom raged, “We can’t trust him to say his lines and he’s out of practice anyway,” “He’s ruined what should have been Obama’s historic moment because he can’t control his loud mouth,” and “What the f***?” the book reported.

The book stated that Obama was “p*****” that his plans had “gone up in smoke” and stated he “couldn’t believe the VP had put himself in the front of their joint project.”

According to former FBI Director James Comey, “Obama would have a series of exchanges heading a conversation very clearly and crisply in Direction A. Then, at some point, Biden would jump in with, ‘Can I ask something, Mr. President?’”

“Obama would politely agree, but something in his expression suggested he knew full well that for the next five or 10 minutes we would all be heading in Direction Z,” Comey wrote.

One Democrat quoted Obama saying of Biden, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up,” Politico reported.
