Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was hospitalized on Tuesday after getting beat up in a gym locker room in South Florida.
TMZ reported that the incident happened at an LA Fitness when several guys just decided to start attacking him, according to his attorney.
Video of the incident showed at least two larger men kicking the rapper while he laid on the ground trying to protect himself. Video of the attack is not included in this piece due to several racial slurs that are contained in the footage.
Another video clip showed the immediate aftermath of the attack as the rapper left the locker room with a bloodied face.
Gym staff heard the fight happening and immediately called for help and alerted first responders. The rapper was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

TMZ obtained a photo of the rapper at the hospital that showed significant injuries on his face. He also sustained injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back.
The attorney says that he is contacting federal law enforcement officials to make sure that his client is getting the protection that he needs after he was granted early release from prison where he was serving time on racketeering charges.
He was granted early release after his alleged cooperation with law enforcement officials led to several gang members from the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods being incarcerated. The gang distributed fentanyl and committed “brazen acts of violence.”
Federal law enforcement warned him days before he was arrested in 2018 that his life was in danger after several of his associates that he fired were caught on a wire saying that they wanted to “super-violate” him, according to the Daily Beast.
The rapper credits federal law enforcement officials with helping him escape gang life.
