Winter Storm Causes Travel Chaos

About 1,300 flights within, to, and out of the United States were canceled Wednesday as severe weather wreaked havoc with massive storms threatening to bring record snowfall across America. The National Weather Service issued winter storm, blizzard, and high-wind advisories for swaths of the western and the north-central U.S. in anticipation of the storm, with up to two feet of snow expected in some areas through Thursday. Officials have also warned residents to stay off the roads due to potential “whiteout” conditions.

Trump Visits East Palestine, Ohio

Former President Trump and his son Donald Jr. landed in East Palestine, Ohio, Wednesday to visit the residents dealing with the fallout from the Norfolk Southern train derailment. Trump also donated thousands of gallons worth of cleaning supplies, 13 pallets of water, and other supplies:

Legal commentators are shocked after Emily Kohrs, the foreman in Georgia’s 2020 election interference case against Trump and his associates, went on a series of interviews Tuesday, divulging private thoughts and a behind-the-scenes look into her experience on the grand jury over the past seven months. Mississippi Governor To Ban Child Sex-Changes

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves confirmed Tuesday that he plans to sign a bill banning transgender medical treatments in the state for anyone younger than 18. House Bill 1125 won final approval Tuesday in the Mississippi Senate, and it will be sent in the coming days to the governor’s desk.

Washington State Announces Three Dead After Avalanche

Washington state officials announced that three members of a mountain climbing group died over the weekend after getting swept up in a series of avalanches, according to CNN. The individuals who died were a 53-year-old Connecticut man, a 60-year-old New York woman, and a 66-year-old New Jersey man, and were part of a six-person group.

NLRB Releases New Severance Rules

The National Labor Relations Board ruled this week that employers can no longer offer severance packages that prohibit ex-employees from speaking ill of their former company, Axios reported Wednesday. The board ruled that workers cannot be asked to waive their rights recognized through the National Labor Relations Board Act.
